I've heard the Novello can come loose. But if you solder them it should be OK. I just extened them using wire and solder. There is a thread on here that explains the whole process and a great idea for flexible wire covering.

They can come loose (I know). Use the Novello or Namz kit, but solder the connections. You should have no worries after that.

Spent a couple of bucks on wire and solder and made my own extensions. The only real cost was my time (I charge myself 2 beers/hr) . And, I didnt have to wait for someone to ship anything to me, not very patient i guess. If you can make it or do it yourself, that is the only way to go. But, you spend your money on the things that count to you.

As others have said........a cheap soldering iron, some wire and shrink wrap.............go slow..one wire at a time, have a couple a beers and be proud of the money you saved..........It's a piece of cake!

+1 on doing it yourself. When I ran the wires through mine they were all just plug & play but helped a bro do his and when you cut the wires I would recommend stagger cut them instead of right across. That way you dont end up with a big lump in the wires. Dont forget the shrink wrap.
