i was talking more like doing away with it all together. maybe mounting it on the bars or just dumping it all together.

It could be done.. Anything can be done for the right price.. lol.. I had mine off when I repainted the tins and you would need to do some work on the tank.. Under the console there's an access panel that would need to be addressed and the tank welds are junk along the splits.. I think you would be better off just buying an aftermarket tank though..

yeah, the welds are crappy under there huh?!?!! that stinks. i hate the way the speedo sticks out so high over the tank.
maybe you can remove the speedo and do something like put some kind of cover on there.

It's a deuce tank so I'm sure the console will match up however you've got the ignition in the grenade on the rocker.. I think the 5gal Dyna SE tank with the aircraft style fill cap would be cool but I don't know how it would all match up..

Check out heavy duty magazine "jack daniels bike" they installed an 07 deuce tank consol as the tanks are the same but u need to change the speedo from the standard 4" to a softail 5" with the alarm light and 6th gear light.

looks awesome i'm doing it to mine.
