Default big city monster baffles on BR 2-2.

i'm trying to figure out if the stealer installed my baffles incorrectly. they installed the baffles on my V&H BR 2-2 right at the end of the pipes and told me that because of the curvature of the pipes they can't install them at the required 6 INCHES from the end of the pipe.

how far into the pipes are your baffles.

Mine are at 6 inches.....as recommended. They slide up the pipes the required 6 inches with no problem. Drill 2 holes, insert the screws, reinstall the heatshields and ride.....no problem. They are loud and more rumbly though I'm still not sold on the tone; better than the stock BR baffles, but I've still heard better pipes. I noticed no significant performance difference, good or bad.
Tell your dealer to do the job right; there's a decrease in performance where they installed them.

see the gap between the baffle and the headpipe? The baffles are smaller so they will fit into the radius of the pipe at 6 inches. There's not enough back pressure for the motor where they are installed........if you paid them for it I would make sure they read the alternate BR instructions that came with the baffles and install them correctly.

Bull**** on the stealer, he doesn't know what he's doing...the further up you the deeper the rumble.

I put mine in myself and put them up as far as they would go.

Have them talk to Gail at Big City...she can tell them how to install. My dealer installed mine at the end of the head-pipe...I think thats where they are supposed to go.

I have them and was told 6 inches from end of pipe. I installed them myself with no problems. Also was told you can have them facing different ways... washer end at end of pipe for more low end & turn them around for more top end. Have tried both but didn't feel any difference.
