Default Anyone with suggestions for Rinehart pipes!

I have an o3 heritage that I have modified quite a bit and am wondering what you think of the Rinehart pipes?

have a 2-1 set that came with the 2-1 V&H and 2-2 drag pipes when I bought the 04 train. the guy didn't like the drag pipes cause they were too loud. got the Rineharts cause he wanted them and the V&H cause they were cheap. he said he was getting ready to put the Rineharts back on instead of the V&H because they were better sound. not louder than the V&H, but deeper tone.

everything I've seen suggests the 2-1 are better for low end grunt (torque) than the super free flowing pipes, but those come into their own at speed - and could see a bit better mileage as a result of the free flowing pipes. mine's a carb'd 04 with the stage 1 with thunderslide jets & high flow A/C and I'm seeing 40-42 on my city/highway driving and closer to 45-46 when straight highway at 70mph, so I don't know how much better it would be.

going to get the Rineharts put on early next week. no a lot of youtube of jughuggers and the like, but there is a bit of 2-1 stuff out there for you to listen to. also drop by an indie/resale shop. frequently they'll have lots of different types of pipes and be willing to fire them for a few seconds so you can get a first hand ear-full...

I've got Bub/Rhinehart duals on my 89 Softail Custom. Been on there for, maybe 25K mi, guessing. They are the best pipes I've ever had on any motorcycle I've ever had.

I had a baffle fall out of one of them, don't know where, and they sent me a new baffle free.

I put them on when they first came out with them. Right after that, I pulled into an Indy's parking lot and the wrench came running out and said, "that's them new Rineharts". He recognized them by the sound when I pulled in.

I get kids pulling up near me often and telling me how cool the bike sounds.

They are not really too loud, though, with the baffles in, which is how I run them. Never had any trouble with the man about them.

I really don't know what the current Rhineharts are like, but if they are as good as the ones they first came out with, they are fantastic.

Hubby's got the new crossback rineharts on his 08 Heritage. They sound and look great. He's put on around 1200mi since with no problems.

They sound good, but the chrome is a bit yellowish.
