Intrduction new member Robert
Hi guys,
i just became a member on this great forum after nosing around for a couple of days, and would like to take the oppurtunity to introduce myself.
My name is Robert i live in Holland (Europe) and currently own (is it safe to say here??....well ok than i own a
Yamaha
xv1600aWildstar,as we call them here in Holland.
I allways wanted a Harley but just could'nt afford to buy one here, prices are double of what you pay in the USA.
Last week however my girlfriend and i returned from our vacation in the US where we spent 4 wonderful weeks, you can imagine i visited as many Harley dealers as i could while i was there, to see if i could get the bike from one of them.
I saw lots and lots of nice bikes and my aim was to find a used Roadking but none of the dealers would waive the sales tax or negotiate over their asking prices.
In the last week of this vacation i past a Chrysler dealer as we were coming out the north side of Joshua tree national park, and he had a nice Fatboy in his lot, well to make a long story short, that's the one i bought.
I put some pic's in an album i created so you can take a look if you want.
The bike is being shipped to Holland at the end of november from New Jersey and will arrive in the port of Rotterdam mid december.
I'd like to ask if anyone has seen this color scheme before, its dark (bordeaux) red with grey accents, i have searched the net but could'nt find anything that looked like it.
Bikes has done 7543 miles and accept for a couple of scratches on the rear fender its in great condition.
Hope someone on this forum will recognize the color and will let me know what's the name of the color(s).
