Default Attn Deluxe Riders!

Question, I ride an 05 deluxe and like just about everything about it except the bars. Have any of you installed a different set of bars possibly like the Road King bars? if so did you change risers or the front brake hose or cables?

I want to raise it up a few inches is all and make the grip angle more like the Road King or a shorter version of the Heratige bar any feedback?

I put Heritage bars on my wife's Deluxe (2007). I did not change the riser. Had to go two over on the throttle and idle cables and two over on the brake line. The stock clutch cable length was fine as were the control wires.

As far as Road King bars, you might get by with only changing the brake line. The stock throttle and idle cables were close with the Heritage bars but just a little too tight.

I went with apes...see sig!!

You will definitely have to change the pullback risers...they will not work with what you want to do!! As far as changing cables, depends on the bar dimensions...You will have to research that!

Looked for your bars on the Chubby website, but couldn´t find the dresser bars. Do you maybe know the exact item description? What risers did you use? Is there a chance of getting a bigger picture? Thanks.

Default look at this bar on ebay.

its on ebay and shows a 5 inch rise. Item number: 360099544696

I think this might just go right on there and do the trick. What do you think? the stock bar is about a 3 inch rise correct?

In my opinion, all that science about bars, like rise, pull back and such really doesn't help much because the different way bars are shaped. The best way to select bars is to take the old ones off and try different sets. Kinda hard to do though when you are shopping on the internet.

You are right O G , I hope I like the ones I got, they have 1 more inch of pull pack and it looks like the wrist angle is similar to the R K bars. I have a set of ISO grips to put on them too. Then some buddies an are going to ride out to TMS for the Busch oh wait forgive me the Nationwide race next saturday. That will be a good test drive and I will bring my allen wrench.
