Default FLSTFI exhaust clamps & bolts signs of rust?

Don't know if anyone else has experienced this or not? But my 06 Fatboy was showing
signs of rust on the exhaust clamps and bolts.

If you have experienced this and wondered what you could do then I hope this helps.
If you have a better solution, even though I've already taken care of it to my satisfaction
for now, then please share. I promise you won't hurt my feelings.

Why not? They are exhaust bolts, not stainless. It isn't how much you ride, it is how old your bike is and how hot the exhaust gets.
Solution: Get chrome or stainless hardware, not sure if they are available.

One of the solutions is to put Hot Toppers on all your nuts. All mine are covered and look like new. I saw another SE Fat Boy in the service area, at the dealership, a year ago. Every nut on the bike had that white corrosion on it. The rest of the bike looked perfect.

Perfection is for perfectionists. A lot of mine show rust if inspected closely. I keep meaning to get hot toppers but ahven't gotten around to it yet...
