Lower front of Fatboy and change fender?
I was thinking about lowering the front end of my fatboy since I have lowered the rear.. How hard is this to do it yourself, and does it really affect ride quality? Also I was thinking of changing the front fender.. will the heritage or any similar fender to it bolt up?? Thanks for the help guys, I'm still a new to the Harley game...

It's not too hard to install the lowering springs. If you have mechanical skills at all you should be able to do it yourself. It does require disassembling the entire fork.Depends on how low you go as far as the ride quality. My kit had options for lowering it between 1"-2".I went with the 2" and it can bottom out on some bumps.A Heritage fender will bolt right on.I have one on my Fatboy

Not necessary in my opinion. I got the airride and was sure I would want to lower the front too, but it rides fines just like it is. If it ain't broke don't fix it. If I were to put a 21" front wheel on it I would consider getting a heritage fender, but that would be the only reason to mess with it.

I just installed a lowering spring kit on my front forks. It had the option of 1" or 2", I chose 1". Wasn't hard to install, I also had the lowers powder coated black. You will need a driver of some sort whether you make one from pvc or purchase a seal driver. I also dropped the rear about 1 1/4" with aset of 422 shocks. Good luck.
