Default Motion Pro ss cables questions

I've never seen or used Motion Pro cables (heard of 'em just no experience with them)........how do they stack up against Barnetts, HD's diamondbacks, and others?

Thanks!!!

Just put them on my wife's bike. We replaced the clutch, choke, throttle and speedo cables. So far, so good. They seem to work very well and they look cooler than expected.

If your not dead set on the motion pro's, you may want to check out the magnum shielding chromite II cables. I've had two sets now. Superb fit and finish both times.

I am not condemning Motion Pro but one of their clutch cables failed on me after a few thousand miles (under 10K). It was fraying up at the clutch lever. Not a lube problem, as I'm sure you know insufficient lube can make a cable fail. It was a smaller diameter than the original type cable and didn't have a heat shield on it like the Barnett replacement I am now using. This is on a 1979 FXS. I'll use one of their cables again sometime, but if it failed once more in such a short period of time, I'd be done with them. I understand they will custom make any type cable a builder needs...of course, so will Barnett.

The reason I ask is that I'm adding 18" apes and I already bought my bars and risers straight from Carlini, but Hill City Customs said they would make me a package deal on extended harnesses and a full set of cables. They use Motion Pro for everything but the clutch cable; they use a Barnette for that due to the six speed. I think the package deal was in the $250 range. I'm more familiar with the Barnette cables and really like them but wanted to find out about the Motion Pro quality.
