Default Deer Magnet (rant)

Well here in Illinois we have had a short streach of warm weather.
With the time change ride in at sunrise ride home after dark 20 mi.
Monday had four close encounters with deer in one day
Little *#@%&#ds! are making it tough to take advantage of the extended warmth!

That's why, if I see brown, it's down. I shoot as many of those SOBs as possible.

I had a deer actually run into me back in june. He came out of the woods full tilt while I was leaning into a right hander. Luckily I wasn't going that fast. I just heard that 2 guys this week hit deer in souther Illinois. both in the hospital critical and although I hate to say it they had bad head injuries, no helmets. Peta can kma!

They have the same problem in southern Texas.

The Border Patrol would like to have a word with you.

yep I hit a deer in Texas last Saturday. I was going to a chapter ride when a young deer ran across the road and I accelerated as I knew the bike had better chance of staying up. I was doing about 40 and his mouth hit my leg. I heard a pop and spun it around. It walked like it was drunk and went down the middle of the road. I hurt like hell so I did not want to stop and try my weight on my leg. I road another 45 min to the chapter ride and had the nurse check it, Said I should get x-rayed. I rode another 260 miles and finished the chapter ride and went to the hospital. No broken bones or damaged nerves. this makes number 6 for me in accidents on the bikes unless you count going off the road and down the hill side.

Yep! I'm not sure what part of Illinois you're in, but up here in the Chicago area, they are ALL OVER! There's no hunting up here so the deer are WAY overpopulated. We've even got them in the wetlands area in our subdivision. On Halloween night, we had a 6 point buck in the area and two nights ago they were eating the bushes in my yard & the next door neighbors.

Dusk & early evening around here is downright scary!

I have been close enough to count the ticks on its ***...felt myself bracing for impact and then it was gone. I think we both left droppings on the asphalt.
