Default Foot Peg Tricks

Do any of you guys have a trick for keeping your passenger foot pegs in the folded up position. My old bike had stock pegs and i never had a problem, I now have an 07 fxstc with the harley flame pegs, and the passenger pegs wont stay up.

Thanks

Brent

Pull your pegs off and there should be a semi bent black metal piece. You need more bend to it. I had the same problem and pulled them off, tweaked them a bit and put them back on. No problems now.

Or put in an extra shim. That's almost required when upgrading from stock pegs to H-D customs.

I have the same problem with my NT, so im gonna try the washer trick. or if I can find and extra shim...it is kind of annoying, always popping down.

i have shims, think they all suppose to have them, and i dont have any problems. or you could always make sure you have a passenger on your bike.

Check if you have any shims at all. Whoever installed the Harley flame pegs may have left the shims out.

Same thing on my Crossbones. I'm planning on just re-bending the shim slightly. It's only on the one side at the moment. Thanks for the reminder, I'm off to sort it now...
