Default Mini-apes for FLSTN

I've got an '05 FLSTN, great bike, pretty much stock except for SE pipes. I've been thinking about switching to cast wheels and tubeless tires at next tire change (still a few months away), and also changing the handlebars to something with a bit more height. I really don't care for extreme apes, but maybe a 9" (+/-) mini would be good. Anybody got a Deluxe with mini-apes and care to comment? Pics would also be great!

I have 9.5 inch "apes" on my springer classic. The ride and look shouldn't be any different on your heritage other then the forks. I really like these bars. I'm 6' and they are a perfect fit for me. They put my hands just below my shoulders. Long rides, short rides, tight maneuver handling all work out well for me.

Default Mini Apes

BTW, I started out trying to find a set of Heritage bars but went with these and am really happy I did. Hill country says they are 10 inch but it seems more like 12 , they worked out perfect. There is a side view in my album.

I installed Wild1 Chubby 515's on my Heritage and I love the position they put my arms and hands in. Anyone with a Heritage knows the stock bars put your wrists in an awkward "kind of pidgeon toed"position and your hands go numb and tingly. These bars eliminated those problems for me.

Mine are classic 1" diameter and 13" tall. I don't personally care for the "giant sized" appearance of the fat bars. I had some at first, but they didn't flow with the lines of the front end like my 1" do because they were too wide on bottom.
