rear tire replacement question

the rear wheel i'm purchasing for my 08 Rocker c is half an inch bigger then the stock wheel (stock wheel is 18 x 8 and the wheel i'm getting is 18 x 8.5). will i need to buy a new tire or can i use the stock tire?

anyone know?

Not recommended with a 240/40-18.
