Default Softail Custom 2 up, comfy or not

Hi, This may be the weekend I get my bike, FXST-C. Wife says she can wait a year for her sportster but wants to double up for the summer on my bike. I love the custom but need to know how comfy she will be on the back. Plan to get a windshield, saddle bags and of course some vance and hines sideshots. We will be mostly touring with friends but will also tool around town.
Thanks for any input.

Nice looking ride! It's amazing how much a different seat changes the look of the bike. I've always been a fan of the STC, love that chopper look!

My wife thinks its fairly comfy, but I don't think it would be good (she has a bad back) for much longer than our usual short trips.
My daughter-in-law on the other hand is a little thing and she loves it.

My wife same height..she felt uncomfortable as could only see back off my helmet and also sissy bar not offering enough protection behind her..but you have to understand it depends on the person..my wife not very confident with bikes anyway..wow i mean you see birds on back off jap bikes sitting in seats the width off dental floss and no sissy bar at all doing 100mph in the uk and no probs......

finally had to get a seat the wife liked
mustang pillow top
does sit a little higher but she is tiny so no problem there
my ride is a std and we only travel maybe 500 on a day usually only 2/3 hundred and no problems. if I go single I put my danny grey gunfighter on .. she used to like the stock seat but we are both getting older she 65 me 67 so time changes some things..

you will only really find out how she sits on it once you guys take a ride together, but overall she should be happy back there. the custom and heritage are real comfy rides for both rider and passenger so i don't think it will be an issue

I bought the sundowner seat for my wife. I hate the look, but if she'll ride back there all day with it I don't care.
