Default Headlight trim ring

I installed a new visor ring on my headlight and cant get the gap out of it. Is this normal? If its supposed to have a gap, I'm taking it off, it looks like crap. I would love to see some pics of others after installation. Thanks.

Default same thing...

...happened to me...I couldn't get that gap out of it no matter what i tried...I'm currently looking for something else

No gap on my Deluxe trim rings. I got all three.

I just put one on my XB... PC Black of course...
when i first installed it there was a 1/4" gap.... I kept tightening it down and now it about the size of a cat's hair....

hope this helps.....

Most trim rings have to snap into a groove on the headlight housing. Perhaps you don't have it seated all the way.

Take it off and then put it back on maybe its not in the right spot then keep tightening it the gap will close if you use the correct tools

Mine on my 07 FXST has it and the dealer says its normal. Many have it from what I have seen.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll keep trying, if I cant get it out I'll take it off. I'm not willing to settle for a gap, goes with being a perfectionist. The dealer says a lot of things are normal. Cant imagine a part being made, with the intention of it not fitting as well as the factory one. With the comments so far, I take it if its installed correctly, there is no gap. Thanks

Let us know how it goes bro, I put one on mine (took it off and back on several times) and I still have a gap, thought I was doing something wrong, may be the norm,we'll see how you manage.
