A good friend of mine got his bike stolen today, Saturday 11/22/08. He was on the 20th Annual Brooklyn Toy Run, bike was stolen while he was having lunch during the event.

Bartender across from were he was parked at said they saw a guy with a baseball cap and hooded sweat shirt in a red pickup. Bike was parked right by Dockside Cafe. Map:http://*******.com/6bbbpr

Sucks.....unfortunately they probably painted the bike or stripped it for parts. I'd love to catch the SOB's that stole that.

 

Well, that's it. I know what I want for Christmas. An alarm system with pager. Can't believe someone stole it just like that. Hope the jerk who stole it gets caught, and spends the next 10 years in jail getting *** raped.

 

I wish somebody would steal mine.. 12000 miles and already has a scissored crankshaft.

Hope that your friend gets his bike back or the insurance takes care of him. Not sure if I would want mine back after being stolen...almost seems like I would not be able to forget about it, but hope that it works out for him like it should. Also hope that whoever took it is caught serves some time...too bad we can't hang them...that would probably slow down at least some of the theft.

It flat out sucks, but that's why you have good insurance. I would hate to have mine ripped off, but wouldn't mind having to get another bike!
