I really don't know what is best but since I run a S&S carb with a K&N filter in thier air cleaner I figured I would vote "other".

I use a K&N air filter and have drilled four 1" holes in the bottom of the stock plastic housing. Works for me.

Add on question...

I've got the Screamin' Eagle Stage 1 air breather kit for my fuel injected Heritage which came with the paper filter element. Will the standard 88 cubic inch K&N filter element fit into this breather?

If not, suggestions?

they have filters or complete kits that will improve and fit almost anything...
