Default Chrome Plating Rear Wheel

I have an 07 FXSTC with the solid aluminum rear wheel and I was wondering if anyone had had one chrome plated or if you can even plate them. I like the aluminum wheel but it takes a lot of polishing to keep it looking good. I take it you would have to pull the sealed wheel bearings out before you could plate the wheel. How hard is it to pull those bearings? I am just in the planning stages of doing this and I was just wondering if it is worth it to do or not or if it can even be done.

You will need to remove the bearings but you can chrome it.
There is no diff between it and a set of triples, they are aluminum.

I don't know how these wheels are. Some can just be pressed out.
Others have a block in the middle of the wheel and need to be pulled out.

I have found the price of things I have chromed on other bikes to be very very reasonable.

Default chrome plating

Check out www.chromeprosplating.com. They are from Texas and have a wheel exchange program or they will chrome plate your wheel. Not bad prices from what i've seen.

Thanks. I have seen the website for chromeprosplating and am going to check with them. I might just have the bearing removed when I have the tire removed from the rim.
