Default Apes with a windsheild.. pics please...

I'm thinking of putting apes on my 07'Fatboy, I'm looking at maybe something like 16" x 1.5" gangsters apes as I think these look totally killer!

I have a question though... (and yes you can all call me a wimp); I like running a windshield on the highway on long trips, how does apes look with a removable windshield? can it even be done? or is it all-round 'F'n goofy'!

One of the reasons I'm thinking about going with apes (aside from them looking killer/bad a$$) is trying to stop the 'burning between my shoulders that happens to me on long trips, someone told be that it's due to 'bad posture' and that apes will force one to sit up taller.. thus no burning... comments?!?!?

Anyway, thanks everyone and I appreciate any pictures/comments RE: running apes (16") with a removable windshield.

I don't have 16's. But I run 12.5's on a 1 inch riser so I have a 13.5 inch. I use a windshield alot.

I am putting 14" flyin apes on my bike, I have a detachable windshield that just about never comes off. I'm just waiting on the fat man to drop them off in my living room....

I personally dont like the look of apes and windshields...they dont look too bad with 12" or 12.5" apes but anything higher than that the windshield just looks misplaced to me...but that just my opinion. I dont run with a windshield on my bike but again that is my choice..If you like the windshield and the love the apes....GO FOR IT!!!

I do think that the bike looks much better without the shield on it than with it on, but it is much needed on longer rides.

my son gave me such a hard time running a windshield with apes that he would take off the shield and hid it when we rode together. now he has a Street Glide with a full fairing! my how they change when they get older.

I have to agree with lanceo70 anything higher than lionsqrne's 12.5's make the windshield look out of place . I have 16"s and wouldnt put a windshield on with them but thats my opinion on it
