Default Help! Brakelight/running light converter doesn't work right

I have the correct kit, but it only makes the right signal work correctly (as a running/brakelight).
The left doesn't work as a brake/running, but still works as a signal.
bulb is fine

Check the wiring in the connectors for the left signal light. Unplug the connectors and make sure everything looks good in them. It's possible one wire is not connecting.

If that's not the problem, it could be a defective module.

The converter is just a plug and play item, so it would be hard to guess what could be wrong. Did you disconnect the converter and go back to the stock setup, to see if everything works properly? The only other thing I would try would be to do a momentary disconnect of the bike's battery. This is like a reboot for the ECM, but I doubt if it has anything to do with the problem.
I guess it could be a bad wire in the converter.

I've switched it back a couple of times, and everything works fine in stock mode. Guess maybe it's a bad one.

It has nothing to do with the ECM. The electronics for the rear signal lights is inside the tail light.
If you've checked all the connections and all the pins are sticking as far out as they should be, then it must be a defective module.

Take the module back, its gotta be bad. There's just not that much to the light circuit to go wrong, and if it operates normally when you put on the turn signal all of the wires and connectors are fine.

I would think either a bad module or the wrong one. I have heard if you have alarm strange things can happen
