Will a 2007 Fatboy gas tank fit a 2008. I have the chance to by a 2007 fatboy tank for $70. I can paint it the way i like and put it on my 2008 Fatboy if it will fit.

But, a quick look at the HD website accessories section shows the part number for a paint set on an 07' Fatboy to be the same number set for an 08' Fatboy.

Paint sets are fenders and tank generally.

 

Yes I believe it will, and for that $$$, you cant't go wrong

 

I brought a 08 tank and fender set off a 08 deluxe, the tank will fit, put you may have to change the float in the tank. the float is different from 07 to 08.
I went to put this set on an 07 deluxe,the new float ran me somewhere around 70.00.

 

there are some actual changes in the 08 tank vs the 07......because when you try to order a tank from harley there is a different part number for the same tank and same color
