Default Air sucking sound?

This is the first new Harley I have ever owned, so please excuse the stupid question. I hear a sucking sound, like air when it is idling. Is this normal, and just part of the SE air kit that was done with the pipes?

It's hard to say what you're actually hearing, could be a number of things...but if you've just installed an SE breather, the back plate is removed, so yeah, the breather is gonna sound different than stock...

I heard the same "strange" breathing noise when I went from stock to increased flow (SE) filter and after-market pipes. Just check the breather hoses to make sure the did not came off. It actually sounds different on the intake.

if it sounds like a sick duck then it is normal. I think it is the counter balance as mine went away after changing to Amsoil oil

i got an 06 efi and it does the same thing at idle since I put the breather and pipes on and I think mine having an open filter would be worse ..

Thanks for the replies. That's kind of what I was thinking, but wasn't sure. I'm a little paranoid about everything right now after spending that kind of money in this wonderful economy. I just need Spring to get here and start riding and stop worrying.
