Default Highbeems with running lights

I have an 09 Heritage(third bike, second Harley but first with running lights). I like the visibility of the highbeems during the day but it cuts out the running lights. Is there a way to have both for better visibility during the daylight hours. I am sure there is a DOT issue here but I would like to have the option for added safety. The difference from lowbeem to highbeem is huge on sunny days. Is there a wiring product or fix?

The power feed, for passing lamps, taps off the low beam circuit. Change that to the high-beam circuit or better yet, to the main lighting feed. I do not have a schematic so I can't give you numbers, colors or even wire locations at the terminal blocks... but that's what you do.

Boy that was quick. Thanks for the links and the info. I have a black bike and black riding clothes so something has to be bright.

Double check that diagram though - that's for bikes with an accessory switch, which the Heritage does not have.
