Default Information on Dunlops' 200/55-R17 tires needed!

Can anyone help me with some information as far as the stock tire on my 2006 Softail Standard (Dunlop D205) vs. the new Dunlop D407? I have around 5300 miles and the D205 has a very noticeable wear line about 1 1/2" wide in the center that is very flat and almost down to the wear bar. Will the D407 wear in the same manner or will it be a little more even? My wife picked one up for me today and before I mount it I would like to get some input from those who currently have or have had the D407. Thanks alot.

The most important thing about tire life is keeping proper tire pressure. I used to run 205's on a lot of jap bikes I had and they wore well, but I would imagine them not lasting quite as long on a heavier bike like a Harley. That is all the info I can offer as I don't have a fat rear tire on my bike.

I put a 407 on my standard last spring got about 3500 on it so far had 8400 on the 205 when i had it removed it was pretty thin so far so good think its wearing like the 205 did think most 200 wear more in the center than the sides

I have the D407 on my 08 Fatty. At 4300 miles it stills has plenty of tread, however it is at the dealer now for replacement due to a small nail. I am going with the same stock D407 for replacement.

Dont know if it applies, but stock Dunlop and at 12,000 miles I am starting my third set of tires, both front and rear, on my Custom.
