I found a use for my old oil. My old truck has 143000 miles and i drive it about 3000miles a year so i decided to run the old syn oil thru cheese cloth and use it in the truck. i drive the bike about 22000 miles a year

Valvoline is going in at my next oil change....I ran HD dino the first 73k miles. I used to get it for $1.99 a quart. The local dealer had it priced at 6 bucks a quart my last visit. I decided to pass and stopped by Autozone and got 4 quarts of Valvoline for 4 bucks a quart.

2nd that, who do these BAST_RDS think they are. Do they believe theres no other oils to choose from. Used to use AMSOIL faithfully until they started making a fool out of me. Enoughs, enough going to switch out to LUCAS or MOBILE 1. They have lost another good customer through "GREED". AMSOIL, CAN KISS MY WHITE A$$

Switched to Mobil Vtwin 20-50 mostly due to it's ability to hold up better under higher heat than dino oil.

The heat our twins create is the real reason to go with synthetic oils. By what I read, dino oil breaks down far quicker due to heat than syn oils do. But, as someone mentioned earlier, seems like Harleys are just not that picky. So, maybe the dino oils are just fine. I just wish that syn oils were not so frickin' expensive!

I've been riding dino lubed Twin Cams as a duty bike since 2000.....parades, traffic stops, funeral escorts...They see more heat than the average bike. I haven't seen one melt, yet....We don't get new bikes every year or two, either. Our current bikes are '03 models and still going strong.

Never cease to laugh when hear people trying to save a dollar on oil and then go spend 5 Grand on chrome which does nothing to help engine performance...
