Touring Rocker, 3k miles & 5 states in 5 days Pics
Here are some shots of my latest tour. The Rocker made a great way to see the Western USA. I rode through rain, hail, gravel, and dirt, but it was worth it! I bungy-corded a small duffle onto the passenger pillion seat (rocker seat with removable passenger pillion), then strapped my sleeping bad and pad onto the duffle. My camp supplies fit in both saddle bags, the tent and camp chair stuck up a little so I just bungy-corded everything together. It looked a little like Jed Clampit learned to ride Harley's but who cares? I only stayed in a motel once after nearly freezing my sack to the seat while being hailed and rained on leaving Yosemite. The dufflebag/sleeping bag combo made a nice back rest that went all the way to my shoulder blades, so 85mph across Nevada was no problem.
That part of the world is beautiful. I'm hoping to make it via bike out there sometime in my lifetime. The pics are great. And they say the Rocker isn't a touring bike.....
