Default Anniversary Editions

Are Anniversary Editions of Softails really any more valuable or desirable than other Softails? I have noticed a few dealers add a bit of "tax" on the purchase price and wondered if this is reflected in re-sale values.

Some people think so....
I don't think that same dealer would give you a nickel more when it came time to trade it in....
IMO it's just smoke and mirrors... or shall I say Paint and Stickers???

I think it's more for cool points than anything. I would have liked to have a 100 year anniversary model, thats awesome!

My buddy has an o3' Ultra Classic and painted over everything and took off everything that said harley. He's been riden for years and years and is a **tchn @$$ mechanic. But then again.... evreyone has their own tastes and beliefs. I like to keep it simple and clean and stay away from all the gaudiness.

the 100 years one might have a hint of more value because of the special year significance, but I think it is more in the eye of the buyer not actual value, and as mentioned above, doubt a dealer would give you a dime more in trade in

Can't say for sure if our Anniversary Edition bikes are worth any more, but if you check out ebay for anniversary accessories, they sure are! Anniversary derby covers going for almost $200 bucks.

Chit, for that much, I might as well buy a gold plated, custom etched one.

I was thinking how badass the that the 100th Anv models were diffrerent and cool with a distinctive paint scheme and badging

Then they came out with a 105th edition? Then upon further review there was a 95th edition?

What the Hay Moco.

Mine is now officially a 102nd special edition....

Derned marketing majors.
