Default So.....are Sportsters girlie bikes ???????

If you pay a visit to the Sportster section you will see at least 2 threads running at the moment with Sportster riders getting in a tizzy because they think Big Twin riders take the p*ss out of their bikes...
Me personally i think Sportsters are fantastic bikes and when i can afford to have 2 bikes in the garage im getting another Sportster....(used to have 04 custom)

I cut my teeth on an '03 883C. Loved that bike, but was ready to move up to a Softail.

Sportsters rock.

I owned an 883 in the past. Then 2 Buells. My Buells were based on the proven and wickedly fast 1203cc Sporty block.

The reliability of the Sportster block is incredible. They are a smart design and can make awesome power.

The only girl bike out there, is a bike that is being piloted by a woman. Which is hot no matter which bike she is riding!

Cheers!

me personally i don't really care what others think of my bike...if i did i woulda took them with me to the stealership when i got it...but seriously the only people who give me a hard time about my sportster are people who don't even own a bike and the ones that have never ridden one and don't know any better

P.S.-most the women that i know that ride prefer heritages and road kings

Good statement. I have always wanted a Sportster but never had the time and the money in the same place. Now that I do and my wife enjoys riding, the Ultra is the thing. I would definitely get a Sportster as a second bike.

I loved my 06 1200C. I just wanted a bigger more comfortable bike for my commute and for road trips. I miss the sporty and wish I could have kept it. I think when the wife gets her own a sporty will be her first, that way I can ride it too.

No Harley can beat it for the snappy low end torque and throttle response. And I've heard you can make them comfortable too. I tried and failed at that.

Man, I hate that.

Sportsters are built for a different kind of riding than the bigger bikes.
Is a rubber mallet a girlie hammer compared to a framing hammer? It all depends what you are doing with it.

well when I was younger and had hair to my shoulders I had several so called dudes speed up to get look when I was in my 67 GTO, but when they seen the beard. End of story
But on the 69 XLCH never had that problem. at 6'2" 230 I never felt like it was a female ride. Did have some on the rear seat though back in the day.
