Hammer I don't think anyone expects their H-D to sound like a car. They do however expect their bikes to be reliable. IMO Harley has traded sound engineering for ease of manufacturing. I'm not sure how widespread the problem is but since the TC96 is still fairly new there are not a lot of high mileage bikes around. Hopefully the runout problem is rare but if it's that rare why has H-D changed endplay specs. Saying .013 of endplay is ok is like claiming that burning a qt of oil every 100 miles is ok. For 50 years H-D flywheels were trued to .002 or less (S&S still does). Anything over that results in excess vibration and will excessively wear the oil pump. If a someone has slipped flywheels (rbabos) they are powerless to get it fixed because good old H-D changed their specs to avoid liability. If this problem is rare FANTASTIC but when it exists H-D needs to man up and fix it.
