New here from Wisconsin.

I have a Ultima Softail frame that is a 1999 Softail standard replica. I was going to mount a set of 2003 Fatboy pipes to try and get through inspection.

The softail standard bracket will not work but does anyone know if I get a Fatboy exhaust bracket will it bolt up to the frame and work to mount these pipes?

I put 2008 softail standand pipes on my 2008 fatboy. You will probably need a mounting bracket. I had to remove mine to mount the pipes.

 

Down here in Texas they will fit not sure way up there

Look I know this my sound like red neck engineering but if you are only trying to get through an inspection do not worry about it. Get it mounted up on on the jugs then hold them secure with several loops bailing wire.

I am sure you are only going up the road. Get it done and then get your real pipes back on your bike.

If all them damn rat bikes with all that crap they got on them can pass then bailing wire should not be an issue.

Just my 2 cents unless its a fashion thing up to the inspection place...

 

I was thinking the same thing.

I saw a few fatboy exhaust brackets used online for $20-$30 so I was wondering about just ordering one of those if it would fit or just making a rough mount with some flat steel.
