Default Heritage Softail saddlebag lid locks

Hello, I just bought a 2016 Heritage Softail. The previous owner installed the Ponderosa Lid Locks, which have a 2-digit combination lock on each buckle. They work great, but I'm wondering if there is any way to change the combination to a number that I can more easily remember. Does anyone here have these locks? Can the combination be changed? Thanks in advance!

Easy answer, did you try contacting the manufacturer?

Since you just bought it, would it be possible to find a way to contact the previous owner?

I bought it from a dealer. I've asked my salesman to see if he can locate the previous owner.

I found 1 video that shows the installation instructions and the guy clearly states that the combination can be changed , but he does not explain how , figures . I'm going to take a wild guess that it would be very similar to a briefcase . Give it shot , you've got nothing to lose by trying .

1 - set the lock to the present #'s
2 - press the release mechanism / button
3 - while pressing the release mechanism / button , change the #'s
4 - once the #'s have been changed , release
5 - should be good to go

Hope this works out for you .
