Default tube or tubeless

I can't tell if my 09 fxstc has tubes or not. the front is laced but the tire has tubeless stamped on it, the rear is a disc with a tubeless radial tire.

if you have a spoke nipple seal in place, you can run tubeless.

A tire marked "tubeless" on a spoke wheel will not necessarily mean it is without since some tubeless tires can be used with a tube-type tire. Look at the valve: if it has a seal at the base, the rim is tubeless; if it has a valve with a nut at the base, it is tubed. Not all spoked wheels are "tubeless" but usually are. Should also be stamped on the rim "TUBELESS".

Duh,. I'd probably go with what is stamped on the rim..

even car wire wheels use tubeless tirers. There sealed on the inside......

U don't have to deal with tubes :-0

before I put aftermarket wheels on that allow me to go tubeless, I had new tires put on my OEM wheels, including a spoked front wheel. two days later, I had a blow out out just before entering a turn. pretty scary.

towed it to the dealer-cause? the tube was pinched between the tire and rim when it was installed, and it ripped a hole in the tube, causing rapid air release.

tubeless now and loving it....
