I have a braided stainless fuel crossover line. It has fittings with seals on each side of the tank. The original seals were made of some kind black rubber and one of them deteriorated. The replacements look like the same stuff. I'm told by the guys here in town that Viton seals are for fuel.

I can't seem to find the right size Viton O ring. It does not have square edges like the original seals but it is made out of fluorine rubber would this work?
Is fluorine rubber Viton?

Either the Russell or Goodridge should be made of the Viton.

 

HD has a part number for replacement seals. Should be able to get them at the dealer if you want to make sure. If not I would go with the russell...fuel is what russell does, no worries.

 

Yep, got replacements at the dealer.

 

Viton will hold up better in gasoline applications. Viton smells almost like peppermint .
