I only got 6500 on the original bones tire, but I ride hard. Indy said I should get more off of the new tire. We'll see.

The higher the milege the harder the compound, harder the compound the less grip you will have. I'll take the trade off

Sounds like your not running that bike hard enough. Lol
Really 13k is some good mileage out of that baby. I'm happy to get 9-10k out of mine.

oops!
hell i want to buy tires manufactured by Dunlop 6 years ago then. Have they changed their compound? Cuz I seem to remember the original tire on my 09 deluxe lasting close to 10,000. My replacement is due to be changed after only 7000 miles.

I'll take $275 "installed" any day of the week. When I had my rear tire replaced for the 1st time on the phone they told me about $325. When the final bill came it was $466.

Unhappy Tyres Avon v Dunlop

Hi fellas,
I'm looking at tyres. I have a Heritage with a Dunlop on the rear but an Avon Whitewall on the front. The bike white-lines something terrible. A small groove along the road and it wobbles as you cross it to lane change. I had a Sportster before with Dunlop and Metzler and never had this trouble. Is it the Avon or the Softail chassis layout causing this?
I'm UK by the way.
Simzee
