Did someone say Springer??? FWIW, you can't go wrong with an OEM front end if you can find one in good condition. I've seen the Paughco replica in the catalog. I like the look and it's probably a lot cheaper, but I do not know how they ride. It would be something I would look into though.

Springers are bad ***. Would love to have a set as well.
I was browsing the internet and came across this set.
I had to save a picture of it.

When I get off my springer and ride the eg the eg feels funny like it does not want to corner. After I ride it for awhile it feels normal again.Seems like the springer sits a little higher in the front,it will lay down pretty far in a turn.

Love my springer. Kind of hard to find an OEM unit since they quit selling them in the parts catalog. OEM units are expensive if you can find one on E-bay but worth the extra money. I think they were about 2500.00 in the catalog.

I priced one back in March and was quoted close to $4000.00. I got a nice used one off eBay for $1700.00. Paughco, was of course my next choice. It never came to that.....And if the price had been to high, I had a complete Fatboy front end lined out for $1100.00. OEM or Paughco are the only ones I'd use.

Here are some notable companies that make springer forks:
  1. American Suspension
  2. Rolling Thunder Springer
  3. Jeri's Springer Front End
  4. Redneck Engineering

Tx_outlaw has the American Suspension forks (Black Dragon) on his bike and my son has the same one on his Wide Glide. I will be putting the American Suspension forks (Dragon Slayer) on my bike this winter with the rear tube painted the same color as my Rocker C pacific blue pearl. There are several springers to choose from besides OEM HD's that are top quality.

Thanks Chad! I like it. The shocks inside the springs are a nice plus to keep from pogo-ing down the road too.

I'm the exact opposite, the first thing I do is take off as much chrome as I can, thus chrome forks are a definite no-go

I Love my Cross Bone Black springer !!
