Default Chrome front end '03 Heritage

Does anyone know of a source (cheap!) for a chrome front end kit for a '03 Heritage?

Seems the ones I am finding are for '07-'08 bikes, and I don't think they will work.

It looks like they run about $250 on ebay and everywhere else. The part number is 46482-00.

Those are just the sliders. He also needs the upper tins, spacers, and axle caps. I think my kit came up to around $400, with the tins.
He is right the 07 and up front end does not fit because of the different axle size. The axle and bearings can be replaced, I guess, a few threads about people doing it, I would not.

They do not make the "Kit" for the pre-07 bikes. I went through this same thing a couple months ago. You can buy the 07-08 kit on ebay for about $150-$200 max. The only differenence is the axle diameter. In my case, I had an extra set of 08 wheel bearings sitting around so all I needed to buy was a new axle. Axles are about $55 at the dealer, but I have seen them for $20-$30 in catalogs like JP and DK. The installation was straight foreward. The only real difference is axle diameter.

Hope this helps.

I too bought a chrome front end for a '07. Since I was getting new rims, I ordered them with the 25mm bearings. Bought a chrome axle from local indy for under $40 and there I am!

Great deal for someone that can turn wrenches on their own bike!

Good Luck!

what about the offset on the 07 front ends? Did you correct that? would you of saved any money if you had to buy and have the bearing replaced on your wheel? It would of cost me $100 dollars to replace the axle and bearing, much less buy different spacers.
By the way, do you still have your stock calipers?
