Brian, your dealer is not giving you the straight scoop! If you use the SE 11 slip ons he can do the download. But without the SE air cleaner you get very little power upgrade, so you need to add that for $140.

For the setup you asked for a download will not be the safe way to go. You will need a Power Commander or a Race Tuner or a fuel pak and the SE air cleaner. This will give you the performance that you want, and not fry the engine. There is no simple download for a EFI engine for what you are asking. Are you talking to a saleman at the dealership or someone in service who knows the scoop? Ask for the performance expert in the shop, if they don't have one find a different dealer. In my humble opinion.

Thanks Lee. That was the salesman who told me that. Not a technician. The closer I come to getting the Heritage Classic, if it's a new one, the more I will start digging for info from the dealership/on-site technician.

 

Carb will have to be rejetted for the change in back pressure with the new V&H pipes. Suggest you add the SE air cleaner its only $139 and helps that baby breath like its supposed to. Maybe a 10-12 hp gain with the pipes and ac. Good Luck

 

Hi Brian! Yes the stage 1 is adding the Screaming Eagle Air Cleaner at the Harley Dealer. Our dealer now calls it an "Aero Kit" That is Screaming Eagle slip on pipes, SE air cleaner, two dyno runs to get a before and after HP and TQ rating and labor, all for a price of $767 for a carb equiped bike and $150 more if you have EFI. This setup will give you about 7 more hp.

If you use V&H pipes or other aftermarket pipes the HP rating usually goes up by about 4 more. But of course the dealer price is now double for EFI bikes due to the price of their RaceTuner, $460 and the higher priced aftermarket pipes.

If you are handy, its a lot cheaper to do it yourself. Harley makes their money with all the add ons!
