Default Rush vs V&H exhaust 2" baffle

I am looking at getting a set of slip-ons for my 05 Heritage and have noticed alot of guys using the Rush brand slip-ons so looking into this I see the Rush are $150 (ebay) and the V&H are $250 why is there a $100 difference?? Is the Rush a lower quality or a $hitty sounding exhaust? Is the V&H a better quality/sounding exhaust?.
I would like to purchase from a site sponser and have got pricing from 1 on the V&H as I do not see any for the Rush slip-ons.

maybe a dumb a$$ question but I am new to the bike exhaust and the stock pipes just don't cut it.

Simple economics. Rush are a fine muffler at a great price. Vance and Hines are great as well.

Have V&H on my Heritage and they sound excellent. Very well made, high quality pipes.

I have about 15k on my Rush slipons. I like the sound and they look as good as new. Just ordered a set for the wife's Deluxe. From my experience here on the forum I'd say they are the most popular slip on. Generally only see V&H mentioned as whole systems.

My dad put Rush slip-ons on both of his Ultra Classic's.... probably close to 100K miles between the two. They still look new and sound a lot better than my dealer installed SE slip-ons on my Heritage. I was tempted to swap my mufflers out for a set of Rush's, but I'm gonna save my pennies for a complete system; V&H big shot staggered.

If those Rush pipes are $150 for new that's a great deal. I paid $235 I believe for mine two years ago and that was a discounted price. Paying $330 for the wife's through the dealer but the ins. co. is paying for them.

Rush has complete systems too. My buddy has the Rush cross over system with 1.75" baffles....Sounds friggin' awesome.

Does anyone know if they make Rush straight cut slip ons for an 04 Heritage? I can't stand the look of the slash cuts or other styles and really like the straight look but the website doesn't list them.

I put the 'slash down' cut on mine and like them a lot. I do believe they make a strait cut for your bike and also a strait cut that will take a choice of different tips. They have some really nice tips too.
