Default What to do with my 07 Fatboy

I know I posted something like this before but never got a anwser? I own a 07 Fatboy and here is my delima. I'm have been adding parts to my bike ( Highway bars-pegs Mustang vintage solo seat ) to make the ride more comfotibale for me. I'm 6'ft 1 with about a 32 " inseem so as you can guess I get a little cramped so I ended up buying the highway bars and pegs and recently a set of floorboard extenders ( FROM HARLEY GOODIE'S). I know there isn't much I can do about the streching my legs out. So the 2nd step was to change out my seat and did so with the mustang solo vintage 14". I'm assuming that I could also find a lepera or somthing for local riding to move me back another inch or too? My next move is to put a Heritage passing lamps, and Heritage bags on my Fatboy, Yes it seems I'm turning it into a Heritage. which I did not know then what I know now... so .. Here is my sitiuation... Do I spend the money for pipes so I can put the Heritage bags on, add the passing lamps and be done with it? Or trade it in for a Heritage ???? I have seen pepole say go for it .. but my delema is I have a real good LOW monthly payment on my fatboy and HD says I would have to kick in around 2500.00 or more for the new Heritage monthy payment to get as low as what I'm paying for now on the Fatboy. I just wanted you opinion on what I'm trying to decide on what to do?

Sounds like a no brainer to me. $2500 for a new "STOCK" bike or probably $1000 or so in partst make your bike more like you want it. You keep the low payment, you keep any equity you may have in the fatboy. Plus, you can always strip down the fatboy if you get the desire. I say keep it!!!

See that's what I was looking for. My frieds have pretty much said the same thing as what you just said. Guess I needed to hear it from a stranger.. (What would he do) type thing. Ohh.. too more things I forgot to add. I'm also wanting to put Heritage Handlebars, and myabe the seat. Not sure of the Heritage stock seat will go on my Fatboy sense I have the 200 rear tire ..

Thanks WARG

While I agree with Warg I do have one concern for you...You really sound like you want the Heritage and seem to be turning your Fatboy into one...In the long run are you going to be happy with what you own? If you arent going to stop changing what you have then the 2500.00 is going to become a moot point...The question to ask yourself is what are you going to be happy with 5 years from now???

+1 to that of you add the last few part make sure you go for the detachable saddlebags like that you can always strip down your ride. It's like 2 rides in one

The Heritage is a nice package for sure. I'm totally happy with mine. However, as long as you make your changes and keep your bike somewhat 'convertable' you're going to have a unique bike there. I'd say keep it and look at other vendors besides HD. Boss Bags for one and some others I'm sure.

Even with bars and U have the work done by someone else Ur getting closer to $1500.
Still with $2500. more to trade and U didn't say what the payment were, so say $200. times 36 payments that U already paid and would have to start over. $7200 + $2500 = $9700 total cost for the new one.
Then U'd still have to do stg 1 again so another 1200-1500..
looks like a lot of money for the new one... 11k vs 1.5k to fix Urs up....

True on all counts! .. I'm paying 238.00 a month. I bought in may on 08. the 07 was basicly a couple of leftovers from 07 so I got a hell of a deal on it and I have about 4600. miles on it. Sense all of you guys are thinking what I'm thinking I would be better off keeping what I have and add to it.

That is one thing that sold me on a Fatboy was the look with the bigger rear tire.
