Default so cal fat boy lo

Gents, ladies-
First, howdy. I'm new to the forum.
Secondly, I'm headed to the so cal area the first of the year. I'm hell bent on scooping up a fat boy lo and this would be my first HD. I'd really appreciate your advice on what a reasonable deal in the so cal area would be. I've seen the other threads concerning fat boy lo prices but don't really know the so cal area so am not familiar with the going rates down there. Can anyone reccommend a good dealership? Also, I plan on buying the bike in cash. Should I expect a large discount for that? I'm simply looking for a stock vivid fat boy lo with the security. What's it worth to you guys? I would like to pay 18,000 or under. Am I unreasonable? Thanks for all the help.

welcome to the forum. I do not know what the tax are in CA but with security, freight, setup, tax, MSRP... I think that 18,000 may be a little low. You never know and I am sure guys from SoCal will jump in here but the Fatboy Lo are a hot bike right now.

You can sure try but to be under 18000 when the MSRP is 16,300, 200 for CA Emissions, 335 for freight, $$$ for setup, 370 for security your looking at 17,500 before tax and title, thats if they do not work with ya. Go in and stick to your guns tell them you want out the door at 18000 and you got cash in hand.

Good luck the Fatboy Lo is a good looker!

KOJAX, was 17.205 after your trade in or was that the asking price?

After purchasing 3 bikes since 2005 I can tell you that I found the prices at L.A. Harley and Westminster H-D to be the lowest I could find at the time.

"SoCal" covers a lot of territory. Can you be a little more specific?

I got mine at Corona Harley. They'll work with you pretty well. LA, Westminster and Corona are all pretty close together. You can get a quote from all 3.

However, you may want to get the bike BEFORE you get to CA. You'll save the CA emissions fee. It's just a charcoal canister on the bike. And you may get lower taxes outside of CA. I believe taxes here in Orange County are around 8.75% now. Higher is LA I believe.
