Chaz, I repositioned the handle bars in the 12 o'clock position, the way you advised. It got dark by the time I finished the work today, but here are some pics in the dark...
And here is some pics of my gas cap. It used to be brushed aluminum, which really didn't go with the bike. I rusted and burnished it, and then clear coated it.
It goes well with the bars now...
I aged the brass grips too...
And I'm figuring out a way to fab these old floorboards to fit on my bike...
Thanks. I wish the pics did the gas cap justice though. The reflection of the light in all the pictures makes it look a little different than it does in real life, but you guys get the idea.

Great work. Coming to this thread a little late. Did you have to have NYC weld that gas cap on? I noticed Shade Tree has some interesting caps, as well. Lookin good!
