Default need help softail guys - 06' night train

i'm thinking about picking up an 06' night train from a buddy. can you guys tell me what the diameter of the forks are? also, what do you guys recommend for getting rid of those bulky front turn signals? I used a relocation kit from drag specialties on my street bob with some LED's turn signals. I just cant seem to find them for a softail. I wanna do the same to the NT to at least bring the signals closer in.

any help would be appreciated. thx fella's.

Ray

Forks I believe are still 39mm on that one.

As for the turn signals- can't help you. I usually throw away all my turn signals for the cleaner look. Hand signals are still legal in my state.

FX forks should be 41mm unless they changed after 2005.

Yup 41mm tubes.

You can drop the sigs down low? They mount where the highway bar would go... just gotta extend the wires...

41mm no question, I removed my front signals and got the Kuryakyn mirrors with LED blinkers, nice and clean, see sig pic, no visible front signals. H-D also do a black mirror with LED lights, which I prefer.

If you want to move them to the forks there are two basic options available to choose from that use the stock or aftermarket lights.
I took this pic with the stock light assemblies when I was changing from the HD version on the right (left side of bike) to the Kury 41mm fork tube clamp mount (there are several companies that sell the same one) on the left (right side of bike) just to show the difference.
You can see that the Kury version puts them much closer to the tubes for a cleaner overall look.
They use the standard thread size so they will also accept most of the aftermarket lights if you want to change them out for LED's or something later on.

With two different mounts it makes the front end look goofy doesn't it.

thanks for posting this man. super helpful...i hate the way the stock sticks out so far. I have to look into something that brings them in closer. appreciate the help bro
