It's not a softail, but everybody I know is here in the softail section. I guess I better start making friends in the Sportster section now too.

This is a 1970 Sportster XLCH. Completely stock (even the tires), with original paint, and only 3900 miles on it. It runs nicely too.

What do you guys think?

 

What! I see "Z" bars, get rid of the engine guard, drag pipes and forward controls. That color is awsome for a little Bobber. Keep that thing ugly and loud and you'll be the most popular kid at the party.

That is a nice bike. I have a buddy with one that he bought brand new and has kept it all these years. His is a funky metallic green.

I dont know. I paid $8500 for it. It is damn near impossible to find a completely stock sportster from that era because they were all chopped up. Plus it is pre-AMF. Several people have told me I got a great deal, but these things are subjective. If I keep it in good condition for the next 10 years, $1000 here or there wont matter because it will be worth a hell of a lot more.
