Default Raking out the front end on a Night train

Hello all. I just joined ‘the club’ and got myself an ‘05 Night Train. Carbed, V&H side shots, SE air cleaner, Arlen Ness 3” extensions on the forward controls.

What I’d like to do is change out the trees and forks and give the bike about 2-3 degrees more rake. I'd like the bike to sit the same as it does now, just with a more raked out front end. Is there a calculation to figure out the best amount to go and not have the bike handle badly on the highway and around town?

Thanks

Rob

If you do it, and however you do it, try and keep the trail around 4 inches.
