Should be fine. I'm running pipes only. Probably put them on around 2K. sitting right at 12K with no issues.

I'll probably add air filter/PC this spring.

Install is easy. Just be sure to pick up a pair of exhaust gaskets. Use some care when removing O2 sensors. Trickiest things for me were 1) unplugging that damn rear O2 sensor under the oil tank, and 2) figuring out if there were gaskets in the exhaust port and how the hell to get them out.

Auto tune is an option for the PC 5. All the tuners control air/fuel mix but the auto tune will self compensate for changes you make to the bike. Standerd tuners need to be set buy a computer to change the settings. So like the PC3 you would plug your laptop into it and download a canned map or make your own adjustments while running the bike on a dyno.

I too thought about the side shots and I agree that they are loud! I went with the side shots(black) on my Dyna Low Rider. They are also loud. I wouldn't dream of removing the baffles. Not knocking those that do, but mine are PLENTY loud. I also chose the side shots because I think they look very cool and not too many people have them. You will be happy with the short shots I am sure. The side shots also cost roughly $200.00 more than the short shots which is a factor for some also. Just my thoughts

Beware of drag pipes like Short Shots, you have probably heard by now how they mess up you bikes performance. Here is a video explaining how pipes without baffles and drag pipes destroys your engines performance with Dyno tests:
