Default Fatboy Stock Seat

Looking at buying a new Fatboy, how is the stock seat for long rides?

While I've not much experience on a FatBoy, I have found stock seats to be less than pleasurable on a long ride.

Hence, the thriving seat aftermarket.

If you dont like the seat you can ship it off to "mean city cycles" to customise it for 1/3 the price of a new seat. Scroll down and check out thier link.

At one time i had 3 different seats for my bike, sold them all and ended up with the stock seat! Still the most comfortable seat for me, long rides no problemo! Find most guy's change out there seat for looks more than comfort, that being said the Lepera Bare-Bones solo looked the best! Which i did have, just couldn't handle the PAIN IN THE A$$!!!

I've ridden my stock seat 2000 miles in 4 days, 500 miles in one day, etc, etc. I have a backrest from Firehouse Customs that bolts to the stock seat and makes the long rides much more comfortable.

Mine was a pain at first but 300 miles into my first long ride either it broke in or my *** got used to it. 30k and no problems. have done 800mi in one day with minimal troubles. Anti monkey butt powder works!

Turned it upside down and used it as an ashtray / spittoon. It's really a piece of crap i think, for a lighter fellows as myself at 160 lb.I bought 2 C&C seats and I'm very happy with them for a long haul.

I sent my Fatboy 06 stock seat in to get a 'Butt Buffer' installed...just got it back and it seems OK. Time will tell though...
