I received it and tried to install today. But i am doing something wrong or i have wrong part. I purchased SE Heavy Breather fits 08 - later dyna/softail models. part no. 29080-09. Does it fit Rocker? Propably not, but what the hell they say it fit 08 later softail? I dont get it. Attached picture where is visible the problem with fiting.

That doesn't even look close to being right. I can tell you that they do not make a different kit for the rocker. The intake and motor is the same on a rocker as it is on any other 96ci. That looks to me like they have the wrong part in the wrong box? I installed my Heavy Breather on my Rocker and it was a direct bolt on. Good luck and I would take that back where I got it and compare it to another one.

 

umm that looks like its for a sportster hence the xl in the description id say you got the wrong part and that label is incorrect on the softail part big twin kit dont fit a sporty and vice versa

I can not believe i have wrong part in box.... This can happen only to me. I ordered it from US so only shipping is 50 bucks.... So ship it back and get other one is pain. Plus when i opened box, i found out it has some scratches on.....

 

I checked again the part number. I found out that correct order number for softail is 29098-09. I dont get it, i would swear that 14 days ago when i was purchasing the kit, there was there different order number - the one i have. I checked twice before i made order that it fits softail, you can see its also on the box?! Now the same site says its for Sportster. So i should stop drinking or i dont know. Now i am realy pissed because i can not send it back due to the scratches which i did not do it btw.

 

I had a chrome version sitting on my rocker. Checked the box sitting in the garage & it says 29299-08. To me it looks like you bought the right one & that someone have put the wrong part in the box (checked HD website which point at my in chrome & yours in black).

 

Sorry... You are right (didn't look at your pic good enough). You got the wrong one but I dont understand why it states that it fits 08-later softail...

 

thanks, yes its clear i got wrong part now. wondering if there was mistake at the site when i was ordering the part or i did the mistake. They might realized mistake and correct it, but who can i prove it...... Also that label on the box is strange...... I will propabaly try to sell it to someone with Sporster with discount. There is 2 scratches which are from bottom so normally no visible.
