What's funny is that one of my bracket bolts is Torx, the other is Allen

Also, I just wrote the check to pay off my bike loan. I'll feel good when that title is in my hand. And then 3 days later, my engine will explode.

Ok, who's the genius that recessed the damn torx between that 1/2" wide bracket. Lol. I have every size torx EXCEPT the T45 or T50 that is narrow enough to fit inside there. I have been all over town and can't seem to find one! Until I do, I have these two bracket arms sticking out of the sides of my bike lol. Good times. Congrats Jim, great feeling huh?

you have the same problem i do. I had to rip the torx "bit" from the socket, then mount it in an opened ended wrench to make it reach the bolt head.

The bit with a deepwell socket is how I got mine out, they also make long reach Torx, but I think you have to go the Snap-On or Mac route for those

I added a few of the long reach torx sockets from Napa. Not a cheap place to get tools, but you cannot be choosy if no-one else has it.

I thought this post was to show off pics of Fatboy Lo's, not ask random questions??? Start a new post if you have questions. That's what these forums are for. I'm tired of having to go through pages of bullcrap when trying to look at pics of bikes.

I agree. Not sure why FBL owners ask questions that are generic Softail questions instead in the Softail forum where they belong.

This page is basically a community for Fatboy Lo owners. As such, we post about working on our Lo's in addition to pics, ect. If you don't like the questions that Lo owners are posting on here you are free to leave the thread and check out the rest of the forum.
