Default will a 07 heritage solo seat fit a 07 fxst

after a 6 hour ride my **** cant take anymore because im 6,4 i seem to sit right back against the back of the seat and as the fxst has a high step at the back it rubs the skin of my tailbone so the heritage seat is alot flatter and soft as i am looking at going that way .i just dont know if it will fit up ok as the fxst has the wider *** end than the heritage and the bracket on the back of the heritage is different plus my main concern is the clearance over the module on the guard

Yes You can swap seats. It may look odd (or not) but it will be a direct swap.

If you can swing it trade it in on a Heritage, you will love the difference. I traded in a 2002 Night Train on my Heritage . The added comfort is incredible. The seating position, the floor boards, the seat, etc.

Sometimes I have others question why I still have the stock seat on mine..

Its because it fits me perfect.. 2-5 hrs daily all the time with no problems..

now the stock rear 07 seat for the wife sucked.. the touring options fixed that, seat, sissy-bar pad and floorboards..

does your solo part of the seat only have fixing bracket at the back of the seat where it screws into the guard and one at the front

I don't know how this could be a direct swap. I have owned/own both... an 07 fxst has a singular screw mount at the back of the seat for the stock seat. The Heritage has to mounting screws that go thru a plate at the back of the stock heritage solo. You would have to drill the holes for those two mounting screws that come up from under the fender and are held in place by a plate.

The frames should be the same but the fxst has a bobtail fender of course and then Heritage does not as well as the FXST being a 200 rear end. So if there is any geometric difference between the two I could not tell you. It may or may not fit right or it may. Easiest thing to do is find someone with an 07 Heritage and lay the seat on your bike to see.

Let's see if this works...
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/membe...-bike-017.html

You see the two acorn nuts right behind the seat... there is a plate under there that the screws come up thru and the acorns hold it down. Not stock those are but you should be able to see the mounting difference.

Not a direct swap unless your FXST is already setup for this.
