how is the clearance with the 21 3.5 on most deluxe's there is very little clearance between the fender and tire one side it's usually very close . also on the height of the tire how close is it to the top of the fender and bottoming out. what brand whitewall are most running? on the samson bike they are running Avon Venom. also are we running tubes. I do on my bike. I always try to do my homework before getting involved in a mod. I appreciate and thank anyone who responds to this post

If you are going to run a whitewall you need to run a 21x3 wheel with a 90/21 tire. The tire already has to be stretched onto a rim that width. There is plenty o clearance. the only reason you need to run a 21x3 for the whitewall is that www are only made in 90/21 size for 21" tires. If you run a blackwall you will still have plenty of clearance. For bw you would run a 120/70/21.

You can run the whitewall on a 21x3.5 rim but I do not recommend it. I have never seen a 21x3.5 with a whitewall in person and would never do that on my ride. That is pushing the tire past it limits too IMO.

Unless you go with this http://www.hothawgz.com/

They are offering it in a 120/70 21 WWW. I'm planning on this tire and the 3.5 inch fat spoke 21" at my next front tire change. If they ever get anymore in stock that is....
